Thanks to everyone who completed our alumni survey earlier this year. The survey revealed positive attitudes toward BVU and helped identify future program opportunities. Here is more information we learned from you:

  • 9 out of 10 have a good or excellent current opinion of BVU
  • 2 out of 3 rated their experience as alumni as good or excellent
  • The majority feel the frequency of communication from BVU is “about right.” (55-77% across various categories of e-mail, social media, printed materials, and solicitations)

Things that most impact your overall opinion of BVU:

  • Value and respect for the degree
  • Scholarship support for students
  • Accomplishments of students and alumni
  • Campus aesthetics

You would like BVU to ensure the following are of the highest quality for today’s students:

  • Academics/classes
  • Skills/training for career and/or internships
  • Relationships with faculty
  • Exposure to new things

The survey produced a great deal of positive feedback and also gave us a few areas to look at more closely for future programming. For example:

  • Opportunities for alumni to network with one another
  • Involvement of alumni in students’ career planning and exploration
  • Regional alumni activities
  • Social media communication
  • Adding an Alumni Association presence to on-campus student activities you rated as most memorable
