It takes more than building a trebuchet or a DC motor to learn about how technology works. In this course students research and build interesting gadgets while learning the scientific principles behind how simple and complex mechanisms work.

It takes more than building a trebuchet or a DC motor to learn about how technology works. In Dr. Tim Ehler's interim course, "How Things Work," his students research and build interesting gadgets while he discusses the scientific principles behind how these simple or complex mechanisms work. Along with hands-on activities, the students participate in on-site learning and give presentations using presentation software and hands-on demonstrations.
