Coronavirus Update

Buena Vista University monitors current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Buena Vista University continues to track the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in partnership with local, state, and federal health agencies. Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China that is known to cause fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

Coronavirus can spread from person to person, and the number of cases continues to rise globally. There are currently no identified cases of COVID-19 at Buena Vista University or in the state of Iowa. For most of the American public, who are unlikely to be exposed to this virus at this time, the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low. However, the health and safety of our students well-being is our primary concern.
