Celebrate All Things BVU at the Inaugural Beaver Ball

Dinner, awards, dance set for Feb. 24 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines

Consider joining the growing number of friends and alumni of Buena Vista University at the Inaugural Beaver Ball on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. The event features alumni award winners, a message from President Brian Lenzmeier, an elegant dinner, DJ dance, and more.

“With less than one month to go before the Beaver Ball, we’re thrilled to announce our award winners and to let people know that we’re approaching 300 people in registrations, which is both incredible and humbling,” says BVU Director of Alumni Engagement Sarah Johnson. “We can’t wait to honor our alumni and friends for their impact while simply spending time with those who love BVU.”

The honorees include:
Keith Briscoe Award Recipients: Dr. Kyle Glienke ’09 and Dr. Kimberly Perez ’13.
John Fisher Award Recipients: Scott Hermann ’97 and Dr. Stacey (Weaver) Cole ’96.
Henry Olson Award Recipients: Roger Fors ’78 and Rob Jones ’72.
Wendell Halverson Award Recipient: Dr. Kitty & Neal Conover.
Outstanding Friends of the University Award Recipient: David & Linda Wesselink.

BVU Trustee Amy (Waller) ’93 and Chris Friedrich serve as honorary co-chairs with Alumni Association Board Member Jessica (Larson) ’04 and Tom Mathisen ’05. Jeriann Ritter ’99 is master of ceremonies while Nick Nystrom ’05 serves as DJ.

Tickets are $150 each and may be purchased here. Table registration, hotel room blocks, and a schedule of the evening’s festivities are included at that link.

Proceeds help support ongoing scholarship efforts as BVU continues to serve its growing student body on campus, online, and through graduate school programs.
