BVU, Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C. Enter Strategic Partnership

Through a Strategic Partnership with Buena Vista University, Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C. can offer educational opportunities to its employees and their family members.

Buena Vista University (BVU) and Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C. have entered a Strategic Partnership, working together to support their local communities.

This partnership allows for employees of Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C., as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost of education while enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost per credit hour for students enrolled in BVU’s convenient online/hybrid undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program.

BVU professors and staff are also available for training programs, workshops, and more should officials with Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C. seek those services and expertise.

“The education I received at BVU was personal and provided hands-on experiences. I often encourage people to go there because I believe they would have a similar, positive experience.”

“Education is key to anything, and we are excited to partner with Buena Vista University to help increase educational opportunities for our employees,” says Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C. owner and attorney Jessica Zupp, a BVU graduate. “This is a wonderful partnership, especially for us as a law firm. BVU’s 4+1 program with Drake University creates an even greater opportunity for those wishing to pursue a law degree.”

Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C. opened in 2013 and is owned by twin sisters and attorneys Jessica and Jennifer Zupp. Their vision was to be the only female-owned firm with bilingual assistants on staff in the area. Located in Denison, the law firm specializes in four areas: family law, criminal law, workers compensation, and personal injury.

Jessica and Jennifer Zupp both attended and graduated from BVU and went on to complete their law degrees. While attending BVU, they gained experience running the debate club, a co-curricular activity that helped foster their passion for practicing law.

“The education I received at BVU was personal and provided hands-on experiences,” says Jessica Zupp. “I often encourage people to go there because I believe they would have a similar, positive experience.”

BVU has long enjoyed strong educational ties in and around Denison, home to Western Iowa Tech Community College, a campus that has collaborated with BVU for decades. Students enrolled in a program through WITCC can seamlessly transfer their credits toward their bachelor’s degree at BVU. Students receive personalized support including admissions and enrollment counseling, and academic advising right in Denison through BVU’s office on the WITCC campus.

“We are excited to partner with Zupp and Zupp Law Firm, P.C., owned by two exceptional examples of BVU graduates,” says BVU Director of Strategic Partnerships Laura Todd. “Our goal is to open educational opportunities for individuals, helping to strengthen our local communities.”
