BVU Vocal Recital At Lakeside Presbyterian Church
Sixteen Buena Vista University vocal students will share their talents in a free recital from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake.
Sixteen Buena Vista University vocal students will share their talents in a free recital from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake.
“We’ve had a number of BVU students taking voice lessons this semester and we wanted to let each of them share a favorite selection with the public,” says Dr. Harmony Murphy, assistant professor of vocal music and director of choral activities at BVU.
Students singing study under the direction of Murphy and vocal instructor Kayla Hernandez, a 2014 BVU graduate. Performers will be accompanied by Deanna Larson.
“We’ll have freshmen through seniors, the whole range of students,” says Murphy. “They’ve worked hard throughout the semester and this represents a great opportunity to share with those who enjoy wonderful vocal music.”
The recital is free and open to the public.
