BVU Students Accepted to 2014 Iowa Collegiate Honor Band
Three Buena Vista University band members have been selected to participate in the 21st Annual Iowa Collegiate Honor Band. This year marks BVU's 16th year of students participating in the honor band.
Three Buena Vista University band members have been selected to participate in the 21st Annual Iowa Collegiate Honor Band.
Selected students include:
- Kelsey Struck – French horn; from Storm Lake, a junior instrumental music education major (k-12)
- Arik Ostler – tuba; from Red Oak, a senior computer science major
- Adam Ullerich – bassoon; from Storm Lake, a junior music performance major
This year marks Buena Vista University’s 16th year with students participating in the honor band.
The honor band will rehearse on Nov. 21 at the Josephine Tope Community Auditorium in Nevada, with a finale concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22. This year’s guest conductor for the Iowa Collegiate Honor Band is Dr. Myron Welch, professor emeritus at the University of Iowa.
