University Seminar

Every first-year student will be placed in groups for University Seminar, which extends throughout the first semester. It’s a chance to bond with a small group of students, meet a professor, and complete a fun group project all before classes begin. Students are also introduced to a book that their entering class will read and report on together.

Part of the first-year experience is engaging in a class named University Seminar, where students are introduced to problem-solving techniques, integrative learning, effective communication skills, and how to navigate the BVU experience.

Four-Year Plans

Efficient planning

Although students have plenty of opportunities to meet with their professors and advisors to register for classes each semester, it’s important to have a good idea of what a four-year plan might look like. This is an opportunity to pencil in opportunities such as internships, studying abroad, and J-Term and AWOL adventures.
