BVU Library: Newspaper Subscriptions
We have three campus-wide licenses that everyone can use (it's like a free personal subscription)! New this year is the Chronicle of Higher Education, the weekly paper that covers all the news in higher education. We also continue to offer access to The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal newspapers. To access these publications, please go to Library A-Z database list at https://bvu.libguides.com/az.php. Select the publication you wish to access from the alphabetical list, then create your own personal account on that site using your BVU email address. It is always best to access these publications from the Library database page so that you are recognized as a BVU community member.
Cooper, School of Education Therapy Dog: Human Friends Needed for 15 minutes on Friday, Aug. 26
Cooper is excited to be back for his second year on campus as the BVU School of Education therapy dog! Over the summer he's been working to fine-tune his professional protocols. Cooper and his handler Dr. Friesen are looking for a handful of human friends to help practice some new skills on Friday morning, Aug. 26 from 8:30 -10 a.m. We welcome volunteers to visit us on the second floor of DE where we will be reviewing our hallway etiquette and new classroom greeting protocols. We also want to practice greeting friends in common spaces and different campus locations, so if your office team would like an extra fluffy visitor, we would love to stop by! Total time commitment is 10-15 minutes per volunteer or location. Please send Dr. Friesen an email no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday. We will follow up by confirming the time and location for each planned interaction. Impromptu Pup-arazzi photo shoots are welcome. Looking forward to Paw-sitive community building and lots of tail wagging!
