Education Coordinator/Advisor- Iowa Falls
The Education Coordinator/Advisor's duties include working in a region of Buena Vista University’s Graduate and Professional Studies education program for PK-12 teacher certification. Duties include advising teacher education students from the point of interest to graduation, maintenance of student and departmental records, placement and supervision of teacher aides and student teachers, recruitment of new education students, extensive phone calling, retention of current and stop out students, financial aid counseling and career services. Occasional travel is required. Bachelor's degree and a valid driver’s license required. Master's degree in an education field or Master's degree in any discipline coupled with teaching certification preferred. Experience in academic advising in an education program preferred. Head Wrestling Coach
Buena Vista University, an NCAA Division III institution and member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for the position of Head Wrestling Coach. Responsibilities include the overall success, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the wrestling program. Specifically, developing and conducting in-season training and strategy, recruiting and retaining student-athletes, managing the program’s fiscal budget, and supervising the assistant coach are primary responsibilities. Applicants should possess a strong college coaching background and demonstrate success attracting and developing student-athletes. A master’s degree in health, exercise science or a related field such as sports management is preferred, bachelor’s degree is required. A background check will be conducted on the final candidate.
