Dear BVU Student,

Welcome to Buena Vista University for the 2011-2012 academic year. On behalf of the Student Affairs staff, I want you to know that we are excited about this coming year. There are so many opportunities, both curricular and co-curricular, for you here. We look forward to working with you in your out of class activities, and supporting you in your academic work.

The Office of Student Affairs is located in the Harold Walter Siebens School of Business/Siebens Forum. We encourage you to visit us with questions and ideas. Our main office hours are 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Additionally, please know that we have a security officer on campus at all times, and Student Affairs professionals are always on call as well.

This Student Handbook is provided to you so that you have easy access to the information and policies that you need to be a member of our community. Since you are responsible for knowing and understanding all of its content, I invite and urge you to read it carefully. While your Student Handbook contains both co-curricular and academic information, please refer to your BVU Academic Catalog for complete academic information.

I hope that this will be a great year for you at BVU. I welcome you to stop by our offices at any time.

Sincerely,
Dr. Mary Gill

interim vice president for student affairs/dean of students
