Beavers Win Homecoming Thriller over CornellSenior Eric Bertelsen caught touchdown passes of 54 and 90 yards, respectively, to help lead the Buena Vista football team to a 24-17 Homecoming victory over visiting Cornell College (1-6, 0-5 IIAC) on Saturday inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium. The two teams combined for over 700 yards of total offense. See photos.
Choir Trip 2009Members of the BVU Concert Choir returned from the singing and sightseeing concert tour to Italy from May 24 - June 4. The Choir visited Rome, Pompeii, Florence, Pisa, Assisi, and Venice. See photos.

Baseball and Softball Field DedicationThe Buena Vista baseball and softball teams took part in a dedication ceremony for the newly renovated BVU/Storm Lake High School baseball and softball fields back on April 3, 2009. Women's Tennis Topped by SimpsonMegan Anderson picked up her first victory of the season at number two singles, but it wasn't quite enough for the Buena Vista women's tennis team on Wednesday afternoon, as it fell at home 8-1 to conference foe Simpson College. See photos.

Coffee Shop ConstructionThe Common Grounds coffee shop opened in the BVU Library in August 2008. Beavers Headed to the NCAA Division III College World SeriesBuena Vista scored four times in the seventh inning and overcame a 5-0 first inning deficit to win the Central Regional Championship with a thrilling 7-6 victory over Carthage College on Saturday. The Elephant in the RoomA large elephant skeleton now stands over 10 feet tall in the Estelle Siebens Science Center. Four BVU biology students along with many others assembled the skeleton in about 4 hours on Thursday, April 22. See photos.
