Buena Vista senior Kellyn Arnold (Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins) has been named the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) Female Athlete of the Week, for the period ending September 2.
Arnold posted hat tricks in each of BVU's first two games of the year this past weekend while helping to guide the Beavers to a 7-0 victory over MacMurray College and a 9-0 triumph over Northland College.
She had the game-winner against Northland and with her second goal, became the program's all-time career leader in goals scored with 33. She heads into Wednesday's home match with Nebraska Wesleyan with 34 career goals.
Buena Vista (2-0) will look to make it three straight wins to start a season for the first time in school history when it takes on the Prairie Wolves beginning at 6:00pm.
