Financial Assistance for International Students
At Buena Vista University, financial assistance for international students is based on academic credentials at the time of acceptance, no additional application is necessary. Students are encouraged to submit all application materials in a timely manner and to investigate other sources of aid.
International Student Grant
The ISG is based on academic credentials at the time of acceptance (transcripts, certificates, TOEFL, letters of recommendation). Awards range from $2,500 to $14,000 and are renewable for four years. No application is necessary; all students that complete the application for admission are considered.
International Student Outstanding Achievement Award
This award honors current students for their exceptional academic achievement and participation in university activities, community service, and volunteer work. International students who have completed one year of full-time study are eligible to apply. This is a competitive award that is given to one exceptional student each year. The award is full-tuition, and replaces all other tuition based aid.
On-Campus Student Employment
Students may be considered for on-campus employment. Award amounts range from $500-$1,800 per academic year. Employment eligibility is awarded to the student. The student must work to earn this award. The Office of International Student Services provides guidance to students to assist them in gaining employment and completing the required paperwork.

For the 2011-12 academic year, the cost of attendance is:
