Campus Dining
Whether it's a quick breakfast before class, lunch with your friends or a late night study break snack, Buena Vista’s campus dining provider, Sodexo, has you covered. Can we take your order?
Crossroads Café
Also known as "the Servery," the Crossroads Café is the main cafeteria, where Sodexo provides a variety of dining options through its many different food formats. The menu is planned with input from BVU students to give you what you want most. Scheduled "Marquee" brunches are also planned throughout the year. Each Marquee Brunch is a feast for the senses and offers even more variety of culinary options, from freshly-prepared, gourmet waffles with fresh fruit to omelets cooked-to-order right in front of your eyes. While free to students, each Marquee Brunch is open to the public (for a fee) and helps bring together the Buena Vista and Storm Lake communities.
Centennial Room
The lower level of the Centennial Room is home to the grill, serving up pizza, hamburgers, fries, and other grilled favorites. It is also home of the Snack Bar. There, you can use "Cent Room Bucks" to buy food such as cheese balls and chicken strips as a nightly study snack between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. If you need a pick-me-up, come on down.
Grand Ballroom
The main seating area for meals is the Grand Ballroom, with a picturesque view of the lake from the large south windows.
Food Plans
The food plans at BVU provide students with all-you-can-eat options. Students on the Marquis Plan may visit the servery at any time from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, with slightly different hours on the weekends.
For lighter eaters, the smaller meal plans allow a fewer number of meals. The 14-meal and 10-meal plans are all-you-can-eat, but with limited hours.
