Log In Instructions

Whenever you access ILLiad or your library account, you will be asked to log in.  If you are off campus, you will also be asked to log in before you can use the library's databases or other electronic resources.

BVU Students, Faculty & Staff

You may log in to any of the library's resources from either on or off campus with your BVU username and password. All members of the BVU community are assigned a unique username. This is also the prefix to your email address. If your email address is beavbuf@bvu.edu, then your username is beavbuf.

If you are unsure what your username is or you have forgotten your password, please contact the BVU Computer Center Help Desk by email 2fix@bvu.edu or call 712.749.2349, 800.248.4462 (toll free).

ICCC Students and Community Guests

You may access your ILLiad and BVU catalog accounts.  Remote access to databases and ejournals is limited to current BVU students, faculty and staff.

ILLiad (Interlibrary loan)

Username = your first and last name run together, i.e. fredjones. 
Password = whatever your created.

BVU Catalog

Username = Your last name.
Password = Last 4 significant digits of your library barcode.
Example: If your library barcode is 2514800125089 1, then your password is 5089.

Maximum Number of Simultaneous Users

A few databases restrict the number of simultaneous users. You may get a "maximum users reached" message. Try accessing the database at a later time.

• CQ Congress Collection (5)
• CQ Supreme Court Collection (5)
• Ebsco eBooks (individual titles available to one user at a time only)
• Mental Measurements Yearbook (4)
• Social Work Abstracts (4)
• Sports Discus (4)
• Value Line (3)
