NOTE: To apply for licensure in Iowa as a school counselor, an additional Exceptional Learner or equivalent special education course and a Classroom Management course (3 credit hours each) is required for candidates without teacher certification. They may be taken at the undergraduate or graduate level at any accredited institution.
