Even though members of a society hold different opinions and values, they must agree on certain rules and procedures in order to get things accomplished Working in the public and private sectors, professionals skilled in politics and public administration implement policies and bring together large groups of people with very different agendas and get them to move in a singular direction.

As a political science or a public administration minor, you will develop professional skills in policy analysis and management as you study the American political system at the local, state, and federal levels. You’ll build a base of analytical tools rooted in an understanding of economics, statistics and organizational behavior, as well as develop your practical problem solving and policy planning abilities that can be applied to a wide variety of career paths in and outside of administration and politics.
