- Business Economics Minor

Are you curious how companies decide how much to pay their employees? Or how the decisions of farmers, food distributors, and grocery stores determine how much you pay for an ear of corn? As an economist, you’ll apply problem solving, theory and mathematics to better understand how these processes work – and how you might be able to make them work more efficiently.
A business economics major can help you understand the elements that govern business from individual entrepreneurship to the stock market. In class and through internships, you'll analyze cost effectiveness, learn how to harness the power of the consumer dollar, debate governmental policy and gain an understanding of the factors that shape the flow of commerce.
