Individual Counseling Sessions are available to you at no additional cost to you. You can discuss your personal financial situation with Adam Reutzel, TIAA-CREF Financial Consultant, on a confidential basis. He is available to discuss how to help you achieve your financial goals by investing in financial solutions such as mutual funds, brokerage, life insurance and annuities. Adam will be on campus Tuesday, October 4th from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm and Wednesday, October 5th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The meetings will be the Library Study Room. Space is limited, so please RSVP as soon as you can.
If you have had an opportunity to meet with a TIAA-CREF Consultant within the past 12 months, we would appreciate it very much if you would leave the schedule open for others to have an opportunity for a counseling session at this time. Dependents of BVU full-time employees planning to attend colleges/universities other than Buena Vista University may apply for three programs for tuition exchange. The first program is the highly competitive Tuition Exchange, Inc. program. Applications for Tuition Exchange, Inc. must be completed and returned to Human Resources no later than October 14th. This program is based on a balance of students imported and exported. Employees will be contacted in November if they have been selected for the Tuition Exchange program.
The criteria of eligibility are: • Unmarried children under the age of 26 who are legal dependents of full-time BVU employees are eligible for the Tuition Exchange program. • Eligible employees must have completed a minimum of five years of full-time service to BVU. • In the event that there are more than two employees interested in using this program, the employee(s) with the most seniority (as determined by years of full-time service) will be given preference.
The other tuition exchange programs are the CIC-Tuition Exchange Program and Presbyterian Exchange. The criterion for eligibility begins one month following employment. Although it is to your advantage to have CIC and Presbyterian applications completed by November 1st, CIC and Presbyterian applications may be accepted into the spring semester.
