COMMUTER STUDENT SERVICES
Buena Vista University's Commuter Student Services program enhances the overall student experience both in and out of the classroom for all commuter students. We provide commuter students the opportunity to get involved in the BVU community, which fosters a sense of pride and success.
CHECK YOUR RIDE Before Thanksgiving Travel
As part of the 24/7 For Your Safety initiative, the Office for Student Affairs, in cooperation with Fitzpatrick Auto Center, encourages all BVU students to Check Your Ride before you travel for Thanksgiving Break. Simply go to Fitzpatrick Auto Center, 1301 N. Lake, during the week of Wednesday, November 20 – Wednesday, November 27 to have a Fitzpatrick technician give your vehicle a quick safety inspection. Fitzpatrick technicians will check all of your fluid levels, check all your belts and hoses, and check your tire pressure. The best part is…. IT’S ABSOLUTELY FREE!!! Just bring your BVU Student ID with you in order for you to participate. If you have any questions, please contact the Office for Student Affairs.

Commuter students have access to a locker, in which they can store their belongings, at the following locations on campus: Siebens Forum, Dixon-Eilers, Smith Hall and Lage. Students can request a locker in an area most convenient for them and pick up the key in the Office for Student Affairs. Locker keys must be turned in at the end of the academic year or when the student no longer requires the use of a locker. STUDENTS WILL BE CHARGED $15.00 PER KEY THAT IS NOT RETURNED TO THE OFFICE FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS.
