Do you ever dream of directing a play you wrote? Would you like to look out across the boardroom and see everyone paying extra-close attention during your presentations? Want to see people stop in mid-step when they see your artwork or nod along to music you composed and recorded yourself?
At the School of Communication & Arts, experiences like these are part of the curriculum. Here, you'll enter into a collaborative working relationship with a community of practicing artists. You'll learn practical skills deployable in a wide range of situations and careers. You'll cross boundaries of academic disciplines and go in-depth on the how and why of communicating. In the media studies program - home to our award-winning, student-operated newspaper, TV station, and radio station - you'll learn to understand and apply convergence: watching a video on your cell phone that you first saw on the Internet of an episode of a show that might have once been just called a "television" series. You'll tell stories with multiple media, utilizing up-to-date equipment available from 24-hour facilities.
And you'll do it all starting your very first year.
