- Campus Safety

BVU is committed to student safety. We want you to feel at ease in the place you'll call home for four years. Residence halls are locked at all times, and only students with keycards can access them. Each residential building is equipped with fire alarms and an emergency phone near the entrance.
Mark Kirkholm, a veteran police officer, is the man leading the charge for a safe BVU campus. His staff consists of eight uniformed officers who provide basic security services to the entire campus 24 hours a day. Each officer is trained and certified before they begin routine patrol of all areas of campus on foot or by vehicle. They can also provide a security escort, change a flat tire or take you to a medical clinic (non-emergency only). Campus Security offices are located in the Student Services suites in Siebens Forum.
