- Campus Life

The college experience isn’t limited to the classroom. It’s a non-stop adventure through residence halls, lounges and student organizations. Along the way, you explore new interests, meet new people and begin life-long friendships.
There are many places on campus to get together with those friends or even to get away from them if you need to study or think. Grab some snacks to fuel a major study session in The Beaver’s Den. Grab a latte at Common Grounds Coffee Shop while you catch up with a roommate between classes. Lounges in the updated residence halls are also ideal for studying or relaxing. The lake and lush green lawns are perfect for a sunny day, and thanks to our wireless campus, you can take your laptop along to stay connected, work on assignments or just check Facebook. Or maybe you’d rather give the laptop a break and toss around a football or paddle away from shore in a canoe. In the winter, pick up some ice skates and take a spin around the rink near the lighthouse.
Buena Vista (which literally means "Beautiful View") is an inspiring setting in which to learn, but there’s also a lot to do. With 19 intercollegiate athletic teams, more than 80 student organizations and several facilities designed for recreation and fellowship, just about everyone you run into is going to be involved, making a difference or simply enjoying themselves.
