7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. - Brunch
Make your way to the Dows Grand Ballroom for your first official meal as a new student at BVU. Bring your student ID card with you. Parents and other guests are welcome to purchase brunch with cash or check.
8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. - Move-In
You have arrived! Now it's time to move in. Find the check-in tables in your residence hall to get your keys. Members of the Orientation Team and other student organizations will assist you with moving in. You will also meet your Resident Advisor (RA) and Resident Hall Director (RHD) at this time.
8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. -Validation - Registration Dows Conference Center, Siebens Forum
Once you've moved your belongings into your room, you need to make your way to the validation area located in the Harold Walter Siebens School of Business/Siebens Forum to finalize your registration process. Please go through validation before you unpack your room.
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m - Lehnus Campus Store
Beat the rush by going to the Lehnus Campus Store in the Forum to pick up all of your first semester books and supplies. Don't forget to bring your class schedule!
2:00 p.m. - Welcome Address – Siebens Fieldhouse
Bring your family and friends to the Siebens Fieldhouse as you are officially welcomed to BVU by the Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students, the President of the National Alumni Association and the Orientation Team.
2:30 p.m - New Student Processional through the Arch to Schaller Memorial Chapel
Take part in your first BVU tradition: the ringing of the Victory Bell and marching through the Victory Arch to Schaller Memorial Chapel. This is an important step in every BVU student's experience.
2:45 p.m. - Founder’s Day Convocation – Schaller Memorial Chapel
You, your family and friends are invited to attend the annual Founder’s Day Convocation, another important BVU tradition. Special tributes will be paid to you and your classmates and new students will be presented with the academic foundation.
3:45 p.m - President’s Reception – Lawn East of Schaller Chapel
President Fred Moore and his wife, Susan, cordially invite you, your parents and guests to a special reception. As you enjoy refreshments, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet many faculty and staff who will be working with you throughout your years at BVU.
4:15 p.m. - Goodbyes!
Bid your family and friends farewell as you begin your BVU experience.
4:45 p.m. - Introduction to University Seminar – Anderson Auditorium
Learn all about University Seminar and the Footprint Project you will be participating in this weekend. After this brief introduction, you will be divided into groups to have your first meeting with your University Seminar class. Meet your instructor, co-curricular advisor, peer mentor and O-Team helper.
6:00 p.m. - Dinner with your University Seminar Groups - Dows Grand Ballroom
This evening meal will be in Dows Grand Ballroom, located in the Forum and will be a continuation of getting to know your University Seminar classmates and instructors. This is an excellent opportunity to get together for some good food and excellent conversation.
*Remember your Student ID for meals.
6:30 p.m. - Floor Meetings
Return to your residence hall where everything you’ll ever want to know about where you are living will be discussed at your first floor meeting. Ask questions as your RA reviews important information about life on campus, life in the residence halls, life in the classroom, as well as upcoming activities. This is also an excellent opportunity to have some quality time with your roommate and floor mates
8:00 p.m. - GTC Dramatic Dialogues - Anderson Auditorium
Join GTC Dramatic Dialogues and their theatrical approach to important college issues! Bring your thinking cap and be prepared to talk and ask questions!
10:00 p.m. - Evening Activities
If you are still looking for ways to meet new friends and have fun, we have a variety of activities planned for you throughout campus. You can play games and sing karaoke in the Underground, compete in Capture the Flag with Impact under the lights on the football field, or play basketball or volleyball in the Field House.
