The time to submit a winter break request has expired.
The residence halls will be closed for winter break beginning at 6pm on December 12 and reopen at noon on January 5 for student enrolled in a J-Term course. The residence halls will reopen on January 28th at noon for students enrolled in second semester courses.
All students wishing to remain in the residence halls during this closed break must fill out this the Break Request form and be approved 48 hours in advance before the residence halls close at 6 pm on December 12.
As with all closed breaks, generally only students with University obligations, international status, or out of state students will be approved to stay on campus during this time frame. Any student wishing to remain on campus during break must be enrolled full time in spring courses on BVU's Storm Lake campus.
During Winter Break the University completely closes December 23 at 6pm until December 26 at 5 pm to observe the Christmas holiday, during this time housing is not available and all students must exit the residence halls.
During break periods Residence Life staff members will walk through the halls to ensure that the building has been properly closed and is safely secure, please work them to accomplish this goal.
