The Harold Walter Siebens School of Business at Buena Vista University seeks a dynamic teacher who is committed to excellence in undergraduate Business education. Teaching opportunities include both on-campus and on-line courses.  The position is a nine-month, tenure-track or a multi-year contract position, contingent on candidate’s credentials.  The start date is August 2017.

The successful candidate will join a group of progressive business faculty members who have implemented a state-of-the-art curriculum that emphasizes the practice of business. The Siebens School is committed to transforming students into exemplary business leaders and entrepreneurs by immersing them in a challenging business environment through course work, simulations, workshops and internships.

The successful candidate will teach a variety of introductory and advanced undergraduate courses including Marketing, Marketing Research, Sales, Consumer Behavior and Business Strategy, and be adept at relating course content to the state of practice in Business. The ideal candidate will have expertise in marketing and academic or professional experience. The position requires strong teaching skills, advising and mentoring of undergraduate students, and service to the institution.

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctoral or Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related business field. Strong preference will be given to candidates with Doctoral credentials.
  • Professional experience in marketing and strategy is highly preferred.
  • Desire to teach, advise, and build relationships with students.
  • Ability to teach a variety of courses in marketing and business strategy.
