The Event Technical Services Department is Buena Vista University's contact for the technical execution of events. The department supports about 100 events a semester with sound, lighting, staging, projection and any other technical need that arise. Campus events consist of touring groups who are invited onto campus as well as our own campus organizations who perform.
There are two main performing venues, Schaller Memorial Chapel and Anderson Auditorium, along with Dows Conference Center, The Underground, and a dozen class rooms where performing events and lectures take place. There are a few outdoor performances a year that take place on the Forum Lawn as well as at the bandshell in Storm Lake's Sunset Park, a block away from campus.
