Student M.O.V.E.

Student MOVE is the student advisory board to the office of civic engagement. They coordinate events such as A.W.O.L. Alternative Weekends, Alternative Events, coordination of Buenafication Day, and manage our hours and competition database. Students interview and apply to be apart of the all VP board. The organization annually attends a conference and this year they will be attending the National Collegiate Leadership Conference.  At the conference the group will be presenting a session and competing in case study competitions!

MOVE Statement of Purpose

Student MOVE supports the Buena Vista University mission by improving lives and fostering civic engagement. We strengthen the connection between the Storm Lake and university communities, and generate opportunities for our students to grow and explore their hidden passions through character-building programs such as service-learning, alternative events, and student education. Our various service and leadership programs provide BVU students with a profound pathway to self-discovery.
