Ahoy! T'5th annual Beavers' Annual Great Boat Float Challenge be upon us! Use this entry form t' sign up your team, ye scurvy dogs! But be quick! Registration ends at midnight on the Sunday before the race!

Every year intrepid sailors gather in Scout Park to test their skills in a battle of cardboard and creativity. Join us on May 13 and test your luck on the stormy lake waters.

Event Schedule: 

4:45 p.m.

Teams begin to bring their ships to check-in with the registration team. The boats are put on display during this time for visitors to gaze upon in awe, and gather photos in case of an unfortunate storm, or siren attack.

The Society of Collegiate Journalists are hosting the results of their pie throwing fundraiser. A pie will be thrown at the person whose jar received the most donations.

5:15 p.m.

Announcements begin with speeches by President Fred Moore, and President of Student Senate, Seth Lindokken. The rules of the races will be briefly reviewed, as well as the course for the race.

Food and Drink will be served as the races begin.

6:00 p.m.

With the races over, and the judges’ decisions made, the awards ceremony begins.  The winners of each category are announced and given their award.
