2017-2018 Great Boat Float Challenge schedule for Thursday, September 28 from 5-7 pm at the beach by the Rec House -Fall 2017 Pictures - Fall 2016 Pictures2016 Pictures -  2015 Pictures

Every year intrepid sailors gather near the Recreation House to test their skills in a battle of cardboard and creativity. Join us and test your luck on the stormy lake waters. For those in need of supplies, there will be cardboard boxes and rolls in the Recreation House.

This year’s races are hosted by ALPS, OAC and Recreation Services.

The 2017-2018 Boat Float Challenge well take place on Thursday, September 28 during Homecoming Week. The event will start at 5 pm down by the Rec House.

And the 2017 homecoming boatfloat is complete!! We had three awesome teams come out and compete: ROTC, 2FIX, and the female soccer team. 
The soccer team came in third with the additional award of Titanic!
ROTC pulled up in second with the people's choice award too. 
And the grand winner is... 2FIX!! 


First Place and Pride of the Fleet
ROTC's the VSS Embrace It - Their boat was the only boat in the fleet to make it to their destination without sinking. They made it in a time of 1:59s. They also received the Pride of the Fleet Award.


Second Place
OASIS came in second place making it the farthest before they sank!

Third Place and People Choice Award
The third place winner was the due of Luke Hastie and Ryan Mellott and their boat cast away. They made it the next farthest and were the people choice winners with the best design.

Titanic Award
The last award was given to the boat that sank the fastest. The due of Kristina Campbell and Katelyn Bohaty won this award wit their boat The Little Ducks.
