Eric Wiebers enters his fourth season as head men's golf coach at Buena Vista. He also serves as an assistant men's basketball coach; a position he has held for the past five years.
A 2005 graduate of BVU, Wiebers has spent the past eight years as either a player or coach for the Beavers. He has been a part of four basketball regular season conference championships and four tournament championships as a player and coach.
He concluded his basketball career as the ninth leading scorer in BVU history and finished fourth on the all-time assists list, while only playing three seasons for the Beavers. He was named the Iowa Conference MVP following the 2002-03 season and was one of 10 finalists for the Josten's National Player of the Year Award in 2004-05.
On the course, Wiebers has finished in the top 20 of the Lake Creek Amateurs the last two years, which is considered one of the IGA's 13 sanctioned point events.
