Nordquist Named All-District by NABC

Buena Vista junior Wes Nordquist (Adel, Iowa/ADM) was recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) by earning a spot on the NABC All-District Second Team.

Nordquist, who was recently named a First Team All-IIAC selection for the second straight year, earned the All-District accolade for the first time in his career.  He finished the year leading the Beavers in scoring at 15.4ppg and during conference play, upped that average to 16.6.  He also hauled in 8.4 rebounds per contest and posted eight double-doubles.

For the year, he shot 54.5 percent from the field which ranked 10th among all players within the region, while he ranked ninth in rebounding.

Nordquist, who helped BVU capture its seventh IIAC Tournament title and ninth NCAA Tournament berth this season, was one of two IIAC players named to the NABC All-District teams.  League MVP David Mataloni of Coe College was selected to the First Team.
