Nordquist Tabbed Second Team All-District by NABC

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today its 2013 All-District Men’s Basketball Teams, which recognize the best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division and are selected by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III. Nordquist Among Eight Finalists in Fan Vote for All-Star Game

The individuals who finish first and second in the voting will be elected to compete in the event, held on March 23 prior to the semifinal games of the NCAA DIII Men's Basketball Championships in Salem, Va. Nordquist Named Finalist for Jostens Trophy

Nordquist and Darrow Earn All-IIAC Accolades; Ticknor Named Honorable Mention

Following a season in which they helped lead the Buena Vista men’s basketball team to its first Iowa Conference regular season title since the 2008-09 season, senior Wes Nordquist and sophomore Cole Darrow have each been selected to this year’s All-Iowa Conference Men’s Basketball Team. The Buena Vista men’s basketball team had its quest for back-to-back Iowa Conference Tournament championships come to an end on Friday night, as the University of Dubuque (21-6) used a key 7-0 run late in the second half to break a 48-48 tie, before holding off the Beavers in the end for a 64-61 victory. The Buena Vista men’s basketball team sprinted out to a quick 24-6 lead on Wednesday night at Wartburg College and never looked back, leading by double-digits for the final 33 minutes, en route to the 71-61 victory.
