High School Highlights: He was a member of the 2008 state champion 4x800 meter relay team.
College Highlights: Dan ran the season-opening race at Central College to begin his collegiate career in 2009 before missing the rest of the season due to illness. He rejoined the team for his sophomore year and took part in all seven events of the year. He shaved nearly two minutes off of his time from the start of the year to the end and finished with a season-best clocking of 31:35 at the Regional meet. Last season, as a junior, he again improved on his time virtually all season and crossed the finish line in a career-best time of 28:54.
