Eight Softball Players Earn Scholar All-American Honors

Eight Buena Vista softball players have been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for their efforts in the classroom, as they are among thousands of student-athletes named Scholar All-Americans for the 2011-12 season.

To be eligible, the individual has to have her name submitted by her coach and maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher during the 2011-12 academic year.

The total is the most for the team since landing eight back in 2004.  It also ties for the fourth-most in a single season for the program all-time.

A list of those players from BVU to be honored for the 2011-12 year are listed below:
