Senior Arrinda Abbuhl lowered her score on Saturday by six strokes and finished in a tie for eighth overall to help lead the Buena Vista women's golf team as it wrapped up play during the BVU Fall Invite.
Abbul posted a two-round score of 184 and was only three shots back of seventh among the 25 total golfers. Jasey Zander was 13th and was seven shots better than Friday. Nora Seda, who took part in only one round last year, was eight shots better on her final round. Megan Sweeney and Ashley Miller round out the team for the Beavers.
Simpson College's Jennifer Gaffney won the tiebreaker and took individual medalist honors after a final round 79 pulled her into a tie with Central College's Taylor Hill, who had opened on Friday with a 76.
The two finished 11 strokes clear of Central's Ashley Smith.
The Dutch (688), with three golfers in the top five, claimed the team title by seven shots over the Storm.
Buena Vista will be back out on the course next weekend when it takes part in the Wartburg College Invite on both Saturday and Sunday.
