Beavers Land Eight Student-Athletes on Winter All-IIAC Academic Team

BVU is one of three schools to have landed eight student-athletes on the winter-sport Academic All-Conference team.

The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2011-12 winter-sport Academic All-Conference Team, and Buena Vista had eight individuals earn spots on the team.

Senior Chase Weaver, who earned a spot as a member of the men's basketball team, was one of six individuals to earn such honors for the second time this season after landing a spot with a fall team (football).

BVU was one of three schools with eight individuals represented.

To be eligible for IIAC All-Academic Team honors a student-athlete must compete at the varsity level, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and attain a 3.5 or better grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
