Attend and promote regional receptions and Homecoming
Attend athletic events and/or arrange receptions for special BVU occasions.

Share expertise with students at the Career Symposium
The Career Symposium is a chance for BVU students to benefit from the expertise and experience of alumni. Join other Buena Vista alumni to network with students and talk about your work, lifestyle, and career paths from BVU to the present.

Refer a student
Know a student that could benefit from a BVU education? Let us know! This can be a brother, sister, nephew, niece, grandchild, neighbor, friend, or child of a co-worker, just to name a few. Refer a student to BVU

Serve as a mentor
BVU prides itself on expert, personalized mentoring. Help us continue that tradition. Your experience and insight are valuable resources to students thinking about pursuing careers in your field. Help them get ahead by sharing advice, answering questions and lending an ear. Mentor a student

Facilitate a student internship
Do you have openings for quality interns, know someone that does or are thinking about starting an internship program? Internships are essential in today's job market. Internships provide opportunities to experiment and pursue careers that mirror a student's passion. Internships help develop strong teamwork skills balanced with the exercise of individual responsibility, the chance to develop industry-specific abilities while enjoying the advantages of a liberal arts education. Internships also increase the likelihood of building professional networking contacts and mentoring relationships. They help students become viable, experienced job applicants when seeking employment after graduation.
