Alumni who attended last year gave the 2011 Summer Reunion on BVU's campus great reviews!
Alice (Ahrendsen) Hoffmeier SL’58 comments “Interesting, stimulating experience. Great seeing long ago friends. Wish more classmates had been there!”
Don Baker SL’58 comments “We have really enjoyed the Cornerstone Guard event both of the past two years. From the President’s reception through the instructor’s presentations, the fellowship with the other “Guards”, and the good food, it was a very enjoyable time for us. We look forward to returning in 2012 to enjoy the results of great planning by the staff”.
Koy (Sheets) Wolverton SL’61 comments “Attending the Cornerstone Guard event was one of the best things I did for myself last summer. The only negative was not getting to see the people who didn’t attend”.
Alumni from the classes of 1962 and before are invited to mark your calendars for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 5 & 6, 2012. Make plans to join your friends and former classmates back on campus for this reunion!
Attendees will be the guests of President Fred and the Rev. Susan Moore at their home for a Tuesday evening reception. You will also enjoy an array of activities and learning opportunities presented throughout the day on Wednesday by BVU faculty, staff and students. The 50 year reunion class of 1962 will be inducted into the Cornerstone Guard and special recognition will be given to the reunion classes of 1957, 1952, 1947, and 1942. The Cornerstone Guard was established by alumnus and Storm Lake Banker, the late Stan Haahr SL’36. His goal was to assure that the University recognized alumni who celebrate their 50th class reunion from Buena Vista.
