The Buena Vista University Summer Reunion began with a round of golf on Tuesday June 5 at the Lake Creek Country Club. That evening the Summer Reunion attendees were guests in the home of President Fred Moore and his wife Susan for an appetizer reception.

On Wednesday June 6, fifty-five BVU alumni and friends enjoyed a day of presentations by alumni, faculty and staff. The day began with a presentation from BVU alum Keith Kerkhoff SL'77, about the revival of Templeton Rye. In the next session, guests had the option of attending "Dining with Sodexo," presented by BVU's campus Executive Chef Eric Gunnare; or "Diet and Exercise," about staying healthy by the campus nurse Tami Laursen.

During lunch the 50-year Class of 1962 was recognized, as well as the 1962 Basketball Team. Following lunch, BVU Professor of Biology Dr. Rick Lampe SL'69 gave a walking tour of the zoological specimens on display in the Estelle Siebens Science Center, as well as a presentation of one of his student trips to Africa.

Everyone had a wonderful time and they are all looking forward to the Summer Reunion of 2013!
