“...learning experiences beyond lecture material”

Jocelyn Kock, Class of 2011

Jocelyn Kock

Hometown: Arcadia, Iowa
Major: Athletic Training
Graduate School: Jocelyn is pursuing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Des Moines University

“The exercise science program at Buena Vista gave me all of the tools needed to continue my education at the graduate level. The class sizes and individualized attention with professors allowed for learning experiences beyond lecture material. The athletic training program utilized evidence-based practice techniques to offer hands-on learning with injured athletes on campus. I was taught to communicate effectively and make clinical decisions based on my own examination and evaluation on the field or the athletic training room.”
