"As soon as I saw the residence halls and the rest of campus, I knew right away I wanted to go to BVU. This was the first school that I had visited that truly wasn’t missing a thing."
Your admissions file should include:
- A completed application for admission
- Official high school transcript if applicant is a current high school student or has fewer than 24 college credits.
- Official SAT or ACT (optional for international applicants) scores if applicant is a current high school student or has fewer than 24 college credits.
- Official college transcripts from every institution the applicant has attended (for transfer students and freshmen who may have dual credits)
BVU practices a holistic review of each applicant’s credentials. This means that a variety of factors are considered when making an admissions decision. Meaning, we care about more than just how great of a test-taker you are.
BVU looks for students who have chosen college preparatory classes in high school, four years of challenging coursework, and achieved success. Those students earning a 3.0 cumulative GPA are given preference in admission; however, this is not a minimum requirement. Good grades also lead to higher class rankings! Ranking in the top half of your class provides preference in admission, but is not a requirement. Have a 20 or above on the ACT? Apply to BVU! If not, still give it a shot. We seek strong, motivated students who are willing to put in the work when times get tough. Meaning, we measure emotional intelligence, too.
How did you keep busy in high school? Did you have a job, volunteer around your hometown, or get involved in other activities that were important to you? All of the things that make you who you are, are important to us, too. So, tell us more!
At BVU, there’s no essay or application fee.
