Enter the biomedical field and develop advanced diagnostic and medical devices. Create smaller, faster electronic components for computers. Design an earthquake-proof skyscraper. Whether your career goal is to be a civil, mechanical, chemical, computer or any other type of engineer, BVU will provide you with a strong foundation in mathematics and science to prepare you for advanced study in engineering.
As part of your studies, you’ll address real-world questions through challenging coursework and practical learning experiences. You will also have vast research opportunities in and out of the classroom while working alongside expert professors who are committed to student success. As a pre-engineering student at BVU, you’ll have access to the dual degree engineering program offered through Washington University in St. Louis. This partnership gives you the unique chance to earn a degree from BVU and an engineering degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Because BVU’s pre-engineering program is not a major, students often choose majors in physics, biochemistry, computer science or chemistry. However, students can choose any of BVU’s majors in completing their degree.
