BVU Students Make Presentations at Iowa Academy of Science Annual Meeting

The largest group of Buena Vista University students in over two decades made presentations at the Iowa Academy of Science annual meeting in Mason City April 20-21. Twenty-nine BVU students, mostly biology majors, made 31 individual and group poster and oral presentations at the event.

Fourth row:  Chris Renihan, a sophomore from New Providence; Henrique Batistti, a junior from Coronel Freitas, Santa Catarina, Brazil;  Ryan Wuebker, a senior from Ayrshire; Stefan Petersen, a senior from Audubon; Tyler Harm, a senior from Schleswig; Marc Legge a senior from Garner.  All are biology majors except Keith Johnson, who is a physics major.   Several of the students have multiple majors.   They were accompanied to the event by BVU science faculty.

Monica Figueroa, the Storm Lake High School senior,  is one of two Iowa delegates to the National Youth Science Camp this summer in West Virginia.
