- Athletic Training Major

It's nearing the end of the fourth quarter. The quarterback just went down from a brutal hit. Can he go on? Is he OK? While the crowd holds its breath, the team's athletic trainers spring into action. From the moment of impact, they assess possible injury through sight and touch.
Where athletics and medicine combine, you'll find athletic trainers. Whether working with professional athletes or the school soccer team, they help ensure the health and performance of those on the field. Athletic trainers bring an understanding of what it takes for a person to be in top form, helping with everything from diet concerns to work regimens. They teach athletes how to prevent injury, show them how to train more effectively, and help rehabilitate injuries when they do occur.
