BVU’s English program emphasizes broad training in diverse literary traditions, including American, British and World Literature. As part of your coursework, you will study contemporary critical theories and take a variety of writing courses to sharpen your skills in multiple genres. You will also work alongside expert professors and gain practical experience through a wide range of internship opportunities. As a culmination of your studies, you’ll write and present an original critical paper as part of the senior capstone course. The English program will refine your oral and written communication skills, develop your ability to solve complex problems, and equip you with ample critical reading and creative thinking capabilities.
