Work for a Big Four accounting firm. Record and analyze financial information for a Fortune 500 company. Maintain or examine the records of a government agency. As an accounting major at BVU, you will learn the skills to work for all types of businesses, large and small, in almost every field imaginable.
BVU’s accounting program is designed so that students graduate with a double major in accounting and business. In addition to developing strong accounting skills, you’ll complete a series of core and foundation courses that will provide you with a breadth of knowledge and a sophisticated understanding of business operations. You may also choose to pursue a business concentration in sports management, marketing, entrepreneurship, financial decision making or human resource management. Through coursework, internships, and travel, you will acquire the necessary tools to understand contemporary business, communicate effectively, and think critically. Not only will you graduate with a broad skill set and be well-equipped to take the CPA exam or CMA exam, you will be a well-rounded, confident professional who is ready to take on the business field.
