A blood battle competition was held between Buena Vista University, Simpson College and Central College during the LifeServe Blood Center blood drive Monday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 24.

BVU was the winner with 91 registered donors, 78 units donated, and 35 first-time donors. Participation is double from last year, with eight percent of the students donating this year. As the winner, BVU now holds the traveling trophy for the competition.

The next blood drive will take place November 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Team Wellness was an important part of BVU's success during the blood drive competition. Acting as the voice to the campus community, Team Wellness promotes wellness and related events and ensures that BVU students are provided with an optimum wellness experience.
